Obituary for Joseph Dosithé Brideau

The passing of Joseph Dosithé “Dusty” Brideau of Hanwell, NB, occurred on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 15, 1936 in New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Alexandre and Marcelline (Richardson) Brideau.

Dusty was a self employed painter and crackfiller.

In addition to his partner, Dorilla Blanchard, Dusty is survived by his children, Michael Brideau (Allison) of Hanwell, NB, Deborah Brideau of Fredericton, NB and Marc Brideau (Leah) of Hanwell, NB; grandchildren, Jessica, Stacey, Danielle, Sebastian, Madeleine and Genevieve; sister, Souveraine LeBouthillier of Tracadie, NB; several nieces, nephews and special nieces, Karen LaRose and Lucienne Keenan.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ida (Gibbs) Brideau; sisters, Marthe, Odille, Suphranie and Thérèse; brothers, Arthur, Alphèe, François, Simon, Yvon and Venance; several half sisters and brothers.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 11 to 1 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 1 pm with Father Peter Melanson officiating. Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetery.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Foundation – Palliative Care Unit. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
