Obituary for Dannean Worth

1940 – 2019
Dannean "Danny" (Bothman) Worth, 79, of New Horton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at Fundy Royal Manor in Hillsborough with her family by her side.

Danny was born in Weston, Ontario on June 19th, 1940, the daughter of the late Jack and Lillian (Gagnon) Bothman.

As a child, Danny spent summers on her grandfather's farm where she developed a deep connection with all animals. This led to a life of rescuing and nurturing all animals, from raccoons someone found in the barn, the baby squirrel she saved, the abandoned dog she raised, and every other critter that crossed her path. She was known for her imagination and creativity. Paintings, wood carvings, dolls, and anything else she could dream up can be found in many homes in this area. She was an avid antique collector and spent her Saturdays hitting every yard sale, searching for hidden treasures. This led her to opening Treasured Memories Antique and Craft Shop in the "Little Red School House". Danny and her husband Jerry, later owned and operated the Captain's Lookout Cottages. Danny loved spending time with her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren; teasing, telling stories, and laughing until her belly hurt. "Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends and family belong, and laughter never ends."

Danny is deeply missed by her treasured children; Darlene Worth of Hopewell Cape, Jerome Worth (Nancy) of Hillsborough, Shari Melanson (Charlie) of Moncton, Kim Schizas (Kirk) of Ontario, and Tracy O'Hara of Harvey; her cherished grandchildren, Robbie, Tiffany, Brandon, Joshua, Justin, Benjamin, Andrew, Ashley, Alicia, Katie, Haley, and Joseph; her nine precious great grandchildren; her brothers, John and Bruce Bothman. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, and the many good friends she made over the years.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Jerry; son–in–law, Andy O'Hara; grandson, James.

Special thanks to the staff of Fundy Royal Manor, especially Shelley McNaught, for the love and care they gave her.

Honouring her own wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Knowing Danny's love for animals, the family would appreciate donations to hopeforwildlife.net in Nova Scotia, or to an animal rescue of your choice.

Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB E4H–3K2 (506) 734–2780
