Obituary for Rodney Thomas Johnson

1969 – 2019
Rodney Thomas Johnson of Moncton, formerly of Snider Mountain, NB, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at home. Born in York, Ontario, he is the son of Stewart and Paulette (Dunnett) Johnson.

Rodney was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed heavy metal, tattoos and played hockey in his younger years. He was a Volunteer Fireman and Training Officer with the Millstream Fire Department and a Certified Safety Officer in New Brunswick and Saskatchewan.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Jodi (Schonewille); sons, Ben (Melissa) of Riverview and Dylan of Moncton; daughter, Brooke ( Jamus ) of Saint John; stepchildren, Ethan, Sophie and Phoebe Brander , all of Moncton; sister, Natalie Robertson (Sandy) of Riverview; grandchild, Mya; niece, Taylor; nephew, Logan and a cherished great niece, Nevaeh.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869–2007) on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service celebrating Rodney’s life will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 3 PM with Rev. Peter Sherwood officiating. The interment will take place at the Petitcodiac Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

Donations can be made in Rodney’s memory to Extra Mural (Driscoll Unit) or the Millstream Fire Department. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
