Obituary for Telesphore Leger

1942 - 2019
Telesphore Oliver Joseph Jr. Leger, 76, of Irishtown, passed away on Friday July 19, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on December 2, 1942 in Longueuil, QC, he was the son of the late Telesphore Edward and Beulah Frances (Bannister) Leger.
Tex worked as an assistant traffic controller for NAV Canada prior to his retirement.
He is survived by three children: Rodney Roger Joseph Leger, Lauren Andrew Leger, and Danny Telesphore Joseph Leger; five grandchildren: Colin Arthur Telesphore Leger, Mary Jane Isabelle Gladys Leger, Cynthia Gavel, Andrew Gavel-LeBlanc, and Alison LeBlanc; his long-time partner, Barbara “Barb” Johnson; one sister, Carol Ann Mary (Leger) Bourque; as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Vivianne Marie Jeanne née Tellier (2006), and one sister, Leola Irene Mary (Leger) Meunier.
By request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. However, the burial will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery, Salisbury Rd., Moncton on Monday July 22 at 3 pm. In memory of Telesphore, a contribution to the N.B. Lung Association would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
