Obituary for Gerald Kenney

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gerald Kenney, husband to Charlotte Leavitt, announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with his family by his side.

Born on January 13, 1953 he was a son to Herbert and the late Ethel(Abric) Kenney. Gerald was a carpenter all of his life, having worked at many locations that took him across Canada. He also had the opportunity to work alongside his father. His work kept him busy but he always managed to find time for fishing, from the beginning to the end of season. He also enjoyed playing his guitar. Above all, Gerald appreciated the time he spent with his family, and he will be dearly missed.

Gerald will be remembered by his wife Charlotte and father Herbert, his children: Tanja (Jason) Payne,Tina (Jake) Hickman and Geoffrey (Victoria) Kenney, step children: Sheri (Trevor) Allan, Terry Morgan and Raymond (Gayle) McPhail, his grandchildren: Genna, Paige, Gracie, Preston, Miley, Marshill and Jihaida, Kailey and Kyle, Ethan and Jason, step–grandchildren: Curtis, Jessie, Zachary, Natasha, Roger,Haley, Rodney and Darwin, several great grandchildren, his siblings: Sharon (Murray) Stymiest, Bev(Mark) Ellis, Herbie (Darlene) Kenney and Phillip Kenney (Larry Mason), special friend Rene Losier, along with many nieces, nephews and members of his extended family.

Besides his mother, Gerald was predeceased by grandsons: Jackson and Wyatt.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634–7424).

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice. A celebration of Gerald’s life will take place on a date to be determined. Please check our website for further details and to placecondolences www.brenansfh.com
