Obituary for Lauretta Neally

Lauretta Mary Neally, 93, of Miramichi, passed away Tuesday, July 19 2019 at Mount St Joseph Nursing Home. Born on April 8 1926, Lauretta Neally was the wife of the late George Neally, and daughter of the late James and Helena (Sullivan) Woods.

Mrs Lauretta Neally is survived by her brother Raymond (Agatha) Woods of Nelson, daughters: Patsy Ashe (the late Willard) of Miramichi, Jean Galley (Carl) of Miramichi, Carmel Neally of Miramichi, sons: George Neally (Lorna) of Hardwicke, and David Neally (Wendy) of Miramichi, ten grandchildren: Jeremy, Jason, Roger, Jonathan, Katie, Holly, Aaron, David Lg, Brian and Francis, ten great–grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lauretta Neally was predeceased by six brothers: Edward, Patrick, Danny, Hubert, Armond and Dennis as well as three sisters; Sister Kathleen Woods, Elizabeth Howe (James) of Scarborough Ontario, Anne Doucette (Raymond) of PEI, and infant granddaughter Amber Neally.

Lauretta Neally rested at Maher’s Funeral Home on Friday July 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday July 20 at 11:00 am, at St Michael’s Basilica with Fr Das and Fr Arnie Hachey officiating. Pallbearers were: Jeremy Ashe, David Lg Neally, Brian Neally, Francis Neally, Aaron Dickson and Jason Ashe.
