Obituary for James "Dale" Barnet

The passing of James “Dale” Barnet of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Lucille (Boone) Barnet occurred on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 30, 1944 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late James “Jim” and Grace (McCrea) Barnet. Dale worked for NB Power for 33 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed hunting, was involved with the family dairy farm and liked spending time at his woodlot.

Dale is survived by his sisters, Lois Sandwith (Donald Johnson) and Kathy Graham (George); brother, Ross Barnet (Kathy); several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; Dale will be missed by his neighbours and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Danny Barnet and brother in law, John Sandwith.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 12 to 2 pm; followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Joanne Barr officiating. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Seymour Memorial Cemetery or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
