Obituary for Helen Loggie Bryenton

1927–2019
Helen Loggie (Bremner) Bryenton, wife of Wilson Newton Bryenton, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the age of 91. Born in Chatham, on August 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Janet (Jardine) Bremner.

Helen was devoted to her family, her church and the Eastern Star. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the Nile. In her earlier years she was employed as a bookkeeper and later operated a general store with her husband for many years. She loved her community, her neighbors and her friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her faith in God was strong.

She worked on many charities and always strived to help others. Famous for being a skilled homemaker, she made the absolute best blueberry pies and fish cakes. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She had many travel adventures with her husband and family and loved to learn about the history of other countries. She loved her flower gardens and playing duets on the piano.

Besides her husband of 68 years, she is survived by her daughter Heather Bryenton Cripps (Ken), son Robert (Shantelle), grandchildren, Rebecca and Benjamin Cripps and Wilson Bryenton, sister Phyllis Sweezey (Donald), sisters in law Hilda Rushbrook, Velma Wilson (Charles) and Bonnie Bryenton, several much loved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, nieces Kimberly Sweezey, Lynne Wilson and Joan Rushbrook, brother in law R. Blair and Emma Bremner, brother in law and sister in law Edward and Ada Murphy, and brother in law Earl Bryenton.

Visitation will be held at Davidson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A celebration of Helen’s Life will be held on Friday July 26 at 2pm at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow.

As expression of sympathy, donations to Local Shriners Association, New Brunswick Diabetes Association or Charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
