Obituary for Viola Hickey

It is with immense sorrow that we announce the death of Viola Hickey of Mountain Brook which occurred July 22, 2019 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 82. Born in Eel River Crossing, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Josephine (Allain) LaPointe.

Viola is survived by her children Richard (Rachel) of Mountain Brook, Roger (Rita) of Mountain Brook, Ramona (Gilles) of Eel River Crossing, Rina (Eugene) of Eel River Crossing, Roland (Sandra) of Mountain Brook, Reginald (Leonard) of Flatlands, Rita (Denis) of Mountain Brook; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Melvin, Norman, Ida, May, Lucie, Norbert as well as many sisters and brothers in law.

She was predeceased by her husband Delphis; siblings Rose, Alma, Raymond, Clarence, Patrick, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Her funeral will be held from St. Francis Xavier Church, Charlo Friday, July 26, at 4 pm with visitation at Savoie Funeral Parlour Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 2:30 until 3:30.

Donations to the Dumont Hospital Tree of Hope in memory of Viola would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point. www.macmillansfuneralhome.ca
