Obituary for Donna Chalmers

Donna Helen Chalmers (Waddelow) of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Capt. Peter Dann Chalmers, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 23, 2019. Donna was born on October 9, 1939 to the late John Gordon Waddelow and Mary Isabelle Waddelow (Goodine).

Donna, aka “The Chief”, worked as a Communication Clerk at the Dr. E. Chalmers Hospital for 28 years. She had three true passions in her life: her family, animals and Christmas. She was a talented tole painter and enjoyed spending time with her many friends.

Donna is survived by her daughters; Kimberley Chalmers of Georgetown, ON, Kelly Curtis (Phillip) of Lincoln, NB, Krista Dufour of Fredericton, NB and Kerri–Ellen Chalmers of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Danielle, Courtney, Kaeli Van Bendegem, and Josh Dufour; one sister, Joan Malone (Don).

Donna was predeceased by her sister Isabelle Glendenning.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Saturday, September 28 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joe Crummey officiating. Interment will be held in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House, Fredericton/Oromocto SPCA, or Christ Central Church. Online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
