Obituary for Lawrence Allan Spicer

Lawrence “Larry” A. Spicer, 51, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges–L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Willis and Marjorie (Hawkes) Spicer. Larry worked for the Government of Canada for over 26 years. At the time of his passing, he was an Information Systems Analyst Team Leader with Shared Services Canada. He enjoyed cycling, volunteering with the Air Cadets and other organizations, but nothing brought him more joy, pride or fulfillment in life than being a husband and a father.

Larry will be sadly missed by his wife of 27 years, Sheena (Lutes) Spicer; daughter, Abigail and son, Andrew; sister, Wendy Spicer (Richard); mother–in–law; brothers and sisters–in–law; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, extended family members and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Marilyn.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, followed immediately by a Service to celebrate and honour Larry’s life at 11:00 am in Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel with Larry’s brother–in–law, Rev. Keith MacPherson leading the service. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

In memory of Larry, donations to the Cancer Research Society would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared on the Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
