Obituary for Lois R. Taylor

1945 – 2019
Lois Rowena (Johnston) Taylor, wife of the late Peter Taylor of Bay du Vin, NB, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 74.

Born in Chatham, on February 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Arlington and Annie (McLenaghan) Johnston. She was a nursing assistant by trade.

Lois is survived by her sisters: Norma of Alberta, Audrey of Ontario and Geraldine of P.E.I; brother, Herman (Adrienne) of Black River Bridge; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Peter Taylor, sisters: Edna and Eva, brothers: Floyd, Robert, Dougal, Harold, John and Eldon.

By Lois’s request there was no visitation held at the funeral home. A memorial service was held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Don Hamilton officiating Mrs. Frances Reid assisting. Music for the service was recorded music and the hymns were “Even If”, “It Is Well”, “Amazing Grace”, “Because He Lives” and the recessional hymn was “God Be With You Til We Meet Again”. The scripture reading was read by Coral Johnston, Michelle Hamilton and Anna Kingston. The prayers of the people were lead by Christopher Reid. Memories of Lois were given by Lindsay, Christopher and Madison Reid. Interment was held in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery.
