Obituary for Persilla Joan MacNair

October 28, 1938 – July 31, 2019
It is with deep sorrow we regret to announce the passing of Persilla Joan MacNair. Joan passed into her next phase of eternal life peacefully at 4am on July 31, 2019.

“My door is always open” were more than just words to Joan who showed her love with friends and strangers alike, always with a radiant smile.

Joan will be dearly missed by the multitudes of recipients of her teddy bears, quilts, and other gifts all home made with Love. Giving was just one of her many talents.

From Chatham to New Mills, Riverview to Charlottetown to Moncton, Joan was quick to make lifelong friends who all loved the gatherings she so enjoyed organizing and hosting.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, Peter MacNair, parents Howard and Lottie MacLean and siblings Donald, John, Jean, Shirley, Mary, and Martha.

She is survived by her children Donna (John) McGuire and John (Donna) MacLean; sisters Vera (Robert) Church and Heather (Glenn) Friesen; her grandchildren Shannon (Deen), Gary, Kyle, Cory (Mandy), Kate, Brian, Kevin, Sarah and Laura; eleven great–grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan’s family was most important to her. She loved us all so much. And she was dearly loved by all.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 3:00pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center with a Celebration of Joan’s life to follow at 265 Magellan Drive, Moncton. Her children hope you will come and share your stories of how Mom touched your life.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cobb's Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, NB. Memorial donations in Joan’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
