Obituary for Maisie Barbara Quigley

1925 – 2019
Following a life well lived, Barbara Quigley, 94, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on May 15, 1925 in Essex, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Rolfe) Thompson.

She is survived by daughter, Susan Godfrey (Bill) of Moncton; sons: Michael and David (Katie); grandchildren: Andrew, Sarah and Jennifer Meunier, Jonathan and Tristin Quigley; as well as her great–grandchildren and a nephew. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was predeceased by her husband, John William Quigley (1990); sister, Eileen Dodgson; and brother, John Thompson.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858–1900) on Friday from 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s R.C. Church, 330 Dominion Street, Moncton on Saturday, August 3 at 10 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.

In memory of Barbara, a contribution to the Canadian Transplant Association or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.

If we learn to cooperate with the inevitable, life can be a joy to the very end.
