Obituary for Stephen Lloyd Parlee

August 19, 1960 – August 4, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Stephen on Sunday, August 4, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. Stephen was born in North York, ON, son of the late Lloyd Parlee and Melissa Smith (McCrea).

Stephen leaves behind his loving wife Karen (nee Renton) of 33 years, two sons: Stephen John, Adam (Amy Ashtyn), mother Melissa, step–mother Marika, brothers: Darren (Beth) of Riverview, Jason (Toni) of Amherstburg, ON, Lloyd (Kristen) of West Virginia and sisters: Sharica (Michael) of Ingersol, ON and Simone (Derek) of Redwater, AB.

Stephen was predeceased by his father Lloyd and uncles: Carl, Gerry, Ron and Bill.

Stephen also leaves behind nephews: Michael (Lori Sadie) Peter and Micah and nieces: Kate, Miranda, Emily, Jasmine, Cheyenne, Sofie, Corrie and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Stephen was employed with Organigram where he made many friendships. Stephen loved his family very much and spending time with his best friend and wife doing things together, going on vacations and going for rides in his 3rd child, his orange challenger (often with Betty in tow). Stephen had a fondness for a certain little girl who was new in his life, who upon meeting him for the first time asked if she could call him grandpa, which brought a big smile to his face, they also shared a mutual love for chocolate.

We want to say a special thank you to our Organigram family for all their support and kind words and to all the doctors and nurses on 4C and 3C at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre for their wonderful care.

Resting at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869–2007) with visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Interment to take place at a later date in the Nixon Cemetery.

Donations can be made in Stephen’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
