Obituary for Ena Mae Hood

1931 – 2019
Ena Mae Hood, 88, of Riverview, NB; passed away at the Moncton Hospital, on Friday, August 2, 2019. She was born in Moncton on July 21st, 1931 to the late F. MacMillan and Ena Maude (Lutes) Copeland.

Ena Mae was a member of the Trinity United Church, within the church she was also formerly involved with the UCW and choir. She also was formerly a member of the Codiac Chords chorus for women and enjoyed many activities including art and painting and she was also an avid golfer at the Hillsborough Golf Club. Mae and Joe were the owner/operators of the ‘Maejo Manor’ special care home in Shemogue, NB for 10 years.

Ena is survived by her husband Joseph Hood; sons Bruce Biggar of Calgary Alberta, and Douglas Biggar (Erika) of Lower Coverdale NB; daughter Barbara McAleer (Jim Mills) of Riverview NB; stepsons Joseph Hood Jr. of PEI, Russell Hood of Montreal; one brother Robert (Betty) Copeland of Ottawa ON; by two loving grandchildren Steven (Krista) McAleer and Samantha (Tyler) Landry both of Riverview; and by one great grandchild Malcolm.

Besides her parents Ena Mae was predeceased by her first husband Rae Biggar in 1981 and one brother, David Copeland in 2016.

Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 11:00am until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 1:00pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery following the service.

Donations in Ena Mae's memory made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
