Shirley Cormier, 83, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Sunday July 23, 2019 at Lake View Manor, Moncton.

Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edward Surette and the late Laura Lutes.

She is survived by her sister Jeaneane, son Eddie Cormier (Debbie) (Brian), and her daughter Charlene (Lasaga) Cormier (Tony). And her sister Doris who is deceased. The family of Shirley would like to thank the staff of Lakeview Manor in Riverview, NB, for the kindness and support. Also thank you to Pastors Liza and Ron for prayers and compassion, and for being there for her.

Dedicated to all persons dealing Alzheimers...

Do not ask me to remember,
Don’t try to make me understand,
Let me rest and know you’re with me,
Kiss my cheek and hold my hand.

I’m confused beyond your concept,
I am sad and sick and lost.
All I know is that I need you
To be with me at all cost.

Do not lose your patience with me,
Do not scold or curse or cry.
I can’t help the way I’m acting,
Can’t be different though I try.

Just remember that I need you,
That the best of me is gone,
Please don’t fail to stand beside me,
Love me ’til my life is done.

When you see a butterfly,
Smile and think of Shirley.
