Obituary for Janett Shanks

It is with great sadness the family of Janett Shanks announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 8, 2019. Born on October 30, 1941, she was the daughter of the Late Harry and Eleanor (Austin) Shanks. She was a great lover of horses and enjoyed spending lots of time at the horse races.

Janett is survived by her three sisters: Julia Connell from Codys, Beverleigh Morgan (Charles) from Barnesville and Sharron Shanks from Hampstead; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Janett was predeceased by her sister Hazel Stevens and four brothers: Lloyd, Calvin, Murray, and Duanne.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Janett’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Interment will take place in Musquash, NB at a later date. Remembrances may be made in Janett’s honour to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
