Obituary for Louis David

The death of Louis Clarence David, husband of Patricia (McQuade) David, occurred on August 8, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born at Georgetown, PEI, He was the son of the late Clarence and Janie (MacKey) David.
He was a Pipefitter, Plumber and Control Technician having worked 36 years for Honeywell and was a member of Local #213. He was a 40 year member of the Simonds Lions Club and received the 'Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.' Louis spent his summers at his summer home in Cardigan, PEI, overlooking the river. Everyone was always welcome. Harvesting the river's bounty was the order of the day. When Fall arrived he turned his attention to hunting in Kerr's Ridge where friends were always welcome as well. He enjoyed teaching his fishing and hunting skills.

Besides his wife he is survived by his sons: Wayne (Suzanne) of Saint John, Sean (Marilyn) of Ottawa, Darren (Kimberly) of Saint John; his sisters; Margaret LaVie of Georgetown, PEI, Ella David of New Glasgow, NS, Gladys Ann McGillivray (Frank) of Cardigan, PEI, LaVerne Crowtz (Dan) of Truro, NS, Janie Dixon (Ross) of Mermaid, PEI; his grandchildren; Alison, Ryan, Jenny, Julia, Maren, Jade, Cole, Tyler; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his infant son Robert David, brothers James and Chester David and sister Reatha Walsh.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 12, 2019, at 11:00 am
at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation ~ Juanita McAuliffe Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
