Obituary for Willa Sealy

Willa Irene Sealy of The Briarlea and formerly of Tweedsmuir Drive, Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, August 9, 2019.

Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Hopper) Steeves.

Willa was a retired secretary with CNR, Moncton and was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the C.N. Pensioners Association and Past President of the Beaver Business Ladies Curling Club and loved to watch curling on TV. She and Ron spent many hours enjoying recreational skating together.

Willa was loved and will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Sealy; sister, Margaret Whiteley and brothers, Leutrelle and John Steeves.

Willa’s family would like to thank the staff at Briarlea for caring for her with such compassion during her illness.

There will be no visitation hours at Willa’s request. A Service to celebrate and honour Willa’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Martin Kreplin leading the service. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

In memory of Willa, donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at www.fergusonsfuneral
