Obituary for Gordon Haywood

Gordon Loyal Haywood passed away peacefully at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland, N.B. on August 11, 2019. Holding the hand of the love of his life for 65 years, wife Flora Haywood. Gordon was born on September 25, 1931 in Waterville, N.B. , and lived in Victoria Corner until his health declined.

He is predeceased by his parents Oscar and Lily Haywood, infant brother Lorne, brother Eric Haywood, sister–in–law Nina Haywood and brother–in–law William Seeley.

Gordon is survived by his wife Flora Haywood of Somerville, NB; sons Robert (Jean) Haywood of Victoria Corner, NB, Timothy (Jill) Haywood of Sidney, Ohio, Daughter Laurie (Jeffrey)Walton of Somerville, NB. Grandchildren Kristina Haywood (Adam Cochrane), Benjamin (Melissa)Walton, Aimee Savoie, Samuel (Stacey) Walton, Marissa (Ryan) McCully, Jessica Haywood. Great–Grandchildren Jakob, Miia, Layla, Lily, Samuel, Sophia, Grace, Adalyn, Gordie and Charlie. Sister Marjorie Seeley of Oakville, Ontario.

Gordon was aptly named with the middle name Loyal as he truly lived up to it. He was loyal to his wife and family and always put them first. His family will always remember his cute little grin and the love he showed them all. He is sadly missed but never will be forgotten.

His family would like to thank the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland for all the fine care and love shown to him while he was part of their family too.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street Woodstock, NB with Visitation on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Funeral to begin at 3 pm; Rev. Jacob Ebbett and Rev. Michael Horseman will be officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland. NB.
