Obituary for M. Georgina Butler

The death of Georgina (Landry) Butler, loving wife of the late John (Gar) Garfield Butler occurred on Wednesday, August 14,2019 at St. John St. Stephen nursing home. Born in Caraquet on February 25, 1931; she was the daughter of the late Norbert and Geneviève Landry.

Georgina is survived by her daughters, Aleta (Alan) Watters of Grand Bay–Westfield, Carol (Brian) Chamberlain of Grand Bay–Westfield, Donna (Bob) Perry of Quispamsis and her sons, John (Merna) of Saint John, Leo of Saint John, Allan (Kelly) of Rothesay, and Brian (Trisch) of Dartmouth. Lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren – Robert (Tina), Ryan, Jocelyn (Peter), James (Morgan), Charlene (Coady), Celina and Bradley and three great-grandchildren – Aidan, Kelsey and Charlotte. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Norbert and her sisters Celine (Mary), Louisa, Rosanne, Jane and Arthemise.

Special gratitude to the nurses and staff at St. John St. Stephen nursing home.

Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, N.B. (634–74240 with visitation on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019 from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Donations in Georgina’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Cancer Society, or Diabetes Canada. Online condolences may be made at www.BrenansFH.com
