Obituary for Jean–Paul Daoust

1929 – 2019
Dr. Jean–Paul Daoust, 89, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Dr. Georges–L.–Dumont UHC. Born on October 9, 1929 in Noëlville, Ont., he was the son of the late Adrien Daoust and Alice Lanthier.

Graduate of Collège Sacré–Coeur in Sudbury and the Université de Montréal, he studied in France and the United States, practiced in Montréal before establishing his practice in Moncton, N.B., in gastroenterology and internal medicine.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lise née Reed, his two daughters Nathalie and Christine, his son Marc (Andrée Poirier), his grandsons Gabriel, his brother Jean–Claude of Espanola, Ont., as well as several nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his sister Gertrude Boucher.

In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre–Dame–de–la–Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Tuesday, August 20 at 2 pm. Interment will be in St–Jérôme, Qué. In memory of Jean–Paul, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858–1900). Words of comfort and donations can be made at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
