Obituary for Allen Forgrave

It is with great sadness that the family of Allen Robert Forgrave, age 87, husband of Mabel Forgrave of Searsville, NB, announces his death which occurred on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Southfield, NB, on September 26, 1931, the son of the late Robert and Elvida (Ross) Forgrave.

Allen is survived by his wife Mabel, daughter Carol-Anne (Fred) LeBlanc, Rollingdam; sons Brian, Searsville, Gary (Eva), Ontario, Chris (Susan), Collina, Mark (Linda), Berwick, and Darren, Sussex; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Irma Burnside, Nauwigewauk; brother Otty (Sandra), Southfield; sister-in-law Hazel Brown, Sussex; brother-in-law Ashley Smith (Grace), Plaster Rock; several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Melvin; brothers Thomas and Nelson; sister Jennie Smith and infant sister Charlotte.

He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visitation on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held from Sherwood’s chapel on Wednesday, August 21 at 11:00 am. lnterment will take place in the Midland Cemetery.

Donations to a Living Memorial, the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital, or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Condolences to the family may be made through www.sherwoodsfuneralhome.com.
