Obituary for Thérèse LeBlanc

1935 – 2019
Thérèse "Terry" LeBlanc, 84, of Shediac passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Friday, August 16, 2019. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Lodia (Pitre) Léger.

Terry enjoyed as a young girl jiving in the Shediac area as well as skating in the winter. She spent her summers at Parlee Beach soaking up the sun. She loved her music and was always concerned of her appearance, well dressed as we all knew her. She moved on to teaching college in St. Hubert, QC, when she obtained her goal in life to become a Christian teacher. Unknowingly she found the love of her life Eugene, and they spent the next thirty years traveling the world with the military.

Mom continued to do what she loved and taught children about the Catholic religion and volunteered to teach catechism. She was always proud to host dinner parties and spent many times at the officer’s mess as the proud wife of Eugene.

After her husband’s retirement, she was able to settle down in her hometown of Shediac and they started their new life as snowbirds, basking in the Florida sun. Right up to her sudden illness she kept one of her most favorite past times of spending money on clothes, jewelry and make-up.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 58 years, Eugene of Shediac, her two daughters, Lise Senterfitt (Tony) of Lynn Haven, Florida and Lynn Zotter (Werner) of St. Laurent, Manitoba; her four grandchildren, Jeremy, Brooke, Joel and Ronda; her great-grandson, Deegan; her good friend, Rosita Boyd of Ottawa, ON, and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Joe, Émilienne, Bertha, Augusta, Claudia and Adelard.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 1 pm till time of chapel service at 2 pm.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Residence O Bon Soins, Shediac and the staff at the palliative care unit at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC for the wonderful care Terry received.

In memory of Terry, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
Words of comfort and online condolences may be forwarded through our website at: www.frenettefuneralhome.com
