Obituary for Mary Walsh

The death of Mary Ellen “Eileen” Walsh of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the age of 92. Born in Bridgetown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Bernadette “Nettie” (McLean) Walsh.
Eileen was a homemaker and house keeper for Dr. Morrissey for 32 years. Her passion was cooking and tending to her garden. She loved to knit and play cards.
Eileen is survived by: her daughter: Lillian of Miramichi, NB; one sister: Peggy Douglas of Wassaga, ON; one brother: Bill Walsh (Thelma) of Toronto, ON; sister in law: Dorothy Walsh and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Eileen is predeceased by: brothers: Greg, Johnny and James; sister: Julia; sister in law: Cassie Walsh and brother in law: Bob Douglas.
The family received visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 13 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Music for the mass was provided by Jacqueline Allain. Readers were Loretta McAllister and Cathy Somers. A eulogy was delivered by Paul Daigle. Burial took place in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In Eileen’s memory, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice. Messages of condolence can be made on our website www.bellsmeadows.com
