Obituary for Renee M. Davies

Renee M. Davies, 54, beloved wife of Douglass K. Davies passed away peacefully to join her Lord, family and forefathers Monday, July 29th at the Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, Californiadue to complications from cancer. The couple was on a return trip to their home in Glendale, Arizona from Redding,California.

Renee was a native of Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada.A treasured and devoted wife, mother to Claudie and Joele Walinga, the youngest daughter of Roland and Rina Bernard and sibling to eight Bernard children also of Bathurst. She was soon to be a grandmother to twin boys, Samuel and Elijah, due in the fall of this year to her eldest daughter Claudie in Nova Scotia.

Renee was known by friends and family as a richly textured and eclectic woman with a powerful faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. As a gifted bilingual French and English journalist her writings revealed unique Biblical insight with a keen desire for truth and accuracy in the faith. "A Form of Godliness" A Communications Graduate of Royal Roads University, Victoria, B.C. Royal Roads University Renee was articulate, a skilled counselor, an exacting and tireless editor and advocate of her husband’s writings. She was a loyal friend to dozens in Canada and the U.S. and exhibited a life–long passion for scientific and Biblical creation topics.

“She was elegant, spirited and wise with a wonderful sense of humor,” her husband said of her. “…A fountain of true class that never ran out.” You're Gonna Be Okay

Friends and family from the United States and Canada will assemble to honor Marie–Claude Renee Bernard Davies on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church 395 Murray St. in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada. The service will begin at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers please direct gifts to Renee’s favorite Ministry, Dayspring International in Virginia Beach. Dayspring International
