Obituary for John McLaughlin

McLAUGHLIN, JOHN
At his home in Woodstock, NB on August 24, 2019 John McLaughlin passed away peacefully at the age of 58, surrounded by his children and many loving friends. Born at Grand Falls, NB in 1960, he was a son of Hélène (Bourgoin) and the late Floyd McLaughlin.

He leaves behind his three adoring children, Alec (18), Kenneth (16) and Elizabeth (13) as well as their mother Christine. John is also survived by his mother Hélène of Grand Falls Portage, his only sister Lynn Armstrong (late Robert) of Nauwigewauk, NB and five brothers, Leigh (Ginette Levesque), Michael (Michele Wright), Brian (Debbie Rioux), George (Sonja Johnsen) and Kent (Lise St-Onge), all of Grand Falls, NB as well as 15 nieces and nephews.

John worked as a Land Surveyor most of his career. His true passion and top priority was being a Dad and spending as much free time with his loving children Alec, Kenneth and Elizabeth.

They all enjoyed spending time on East Grand Lake, hunting, fishing, motorbiking in skating arenas or at other sporting events. He was an active member in his church and will be remembered by all for his amazing smile and laugh.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle, Grand Falls with visiting hours on Monday ONLY from 7 to 9 p.m. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 27th at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls Portage with Father Curtis Sappier and Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating.

For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

A special thank you to the Woodstock Extra Mural for granting John his wish to spend his final days and pass away peacefully in his home surrounded by those he loved. www.oregans.ca
