Obituary for Ruth Hicks

It is with heavy hearts, but thankfulness for a life well lived, the family of Ruth Catherine Hicks (Goodwin) announce her passing at Monarch Hall, Riverview, NB on August 24, 2019. She was born on November 4, 1927 in Lorneville, NS, the daughter of Victor and Emelyn Goodwin.

Ruth loved her family, her friends and her Lord. She was a wonderful hostess, a gifted artist and a devoted friend to all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold and is survived by her children, Richard (Helen), Eric (Kathy), and Kathy Darling (Dan); seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Her family would especially like to thank Heather Cormier, her care giver for her loving care for Ruth over the years.

The family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, in Moncton, NB. Funeral Services will follow the visitation in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. A reception for all will follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment at Fair Haven Cemetery.

For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the Gideons International, Word of Life Canada, Friends of The Moncton Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
