Obituary for Wendy Henderson

February 17, 1948–August 25, 2019
It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Wendy Henderson, age 71, on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born on February 17, 1948 in Sackville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Madeline (MacKay) and Walton Sullivan.

Wendy and Lewis lived in Burlington, Ontario for 35 years before moving back to Amherst 15 years ago and finally settling in Sackville. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and spent a lot of time helping with church activities. Wendy enjoyed travelling and camping, walks on Walton’s Beach and spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful organizer and she was always willing to lend a hand and help if she could.

Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Lewis Bartley Henderson; her brothers, Richard Sullivan, Dean (Joan) Sullivan and Clinton (Carol) Sullivan; her sisters, Beatrice (Leonard) LeBlanc, Florence Hicks, Donna Sullivan, Madeline (Roy) Clare and Laureen (Albert) Estabrooks, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wendy was predeceased by her sister–in–law, Vivian Sullivan; her brothers–in–law, Douglas Atkinson and Adrian Hicks, as well by several aunts and uncles.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364–8188. Visiting hours will take place at the Salem Baptist Church on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 1 pm until the service at 2 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Salem Baptist Church on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2 pm with Pastor Paul Bedford officiating. The burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery.

If so desired, donations in memory of Wendy may be made to the Salem Baptist Church, Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the charity of one’s choice. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be forwarded to the family through our website www.campbellsfuneralhome.com or by visiting the funeral home Facebook page.
