Obituary for Valerie Gagnon

1936 - 2019
Valerie Gagnon, 83, of Moncton, passed away on Monday, August 26th, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Isidore and the late Minnie (née: LeBlanc) Gagnon.

Prior to retirement, Valerie worked at CN for 33 years. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 6796, Monseigneur Donat Chiasson - Dieppe and the Sainte-Thérèse parish.
He is survived by one daughter, Angela Belliveau of Dieppe; one son, Donald Gagnon of Moncton; one granddaughter, Josée; special friend, Carole Arsenault; three sisters: Norma (late Armand) Brun of Dieppe, Lucille Gagnon and Wilma (late Leonard) Landry, both of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (née: Donovan) in 1999 and also by one brother, Valmore.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Thursday from 7 pm to 9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am until time of departure. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.
