Obituary for Michael Cunningham

The passing of Michael Joseph Cunningham of Fredericton, NB, husband of Jeannette (Gallant) Cunningham occurred on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 20, 1933 in South Bank, Cleveland, England, he was the son of the late Hugh and Ruth (Grey) Cunningham.

Michael was an Engineering Technician with the New Brunswick Department of Supply and Services. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Church, Fredericton, NB.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his son, John Cunningham of Fredericton, NB; daughters, Cathy Cunningham (Claude Murray) of Surrey, BC and Christine Cunningham (Jason Campbell) of Vancouver, BC; grandson, Samuel Cunningham of Surrey, BC; several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sister, Kathleen Heselton (Steven) and brother, James Cunningham (Freda).

Michael’s choice was to donate his body to science at Dalhousie University. The Memorial Service will take place at St. Theresa’s Church on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 11:00 am with Father Martin Arputham officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.

For those who wish, remembrance may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Birthright or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
