Obituary for Garth Williston

Garth Robert Williston, 79 years of age, died on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the South Terrace Nursing Home in Edmonton, Alberta, with his wife Susan and step-daughter Jamie at his bedside. Garth was born April 29, 1940 in Bay du Vin, New Brunswick.

Garth was a fun loving and well liked teacher in the Moncton area, but a fisherman at heart. His passion was lobster fishing in the Bay du Vin area. He was a survivor of the Escuminac disaster of 1959. Garth made many friends playing bridge and loved the 'good old hockey game'. He was a life long Maple Leafs fan. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 58.

His body was donated to the Anatomical Gifts Program at the University of Alberta.
