Obituary for Ruby Dorey

Ruby E. Dorey, 99, passed away peacefully at The Veterans Unit of The Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg, NS on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Born in Brighton, Sussex County, England UK, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Henrietta (White) Day.

Ruby worked for many years as a Stenographer, she was a member of St. John The Baptist Anglican Church, Riverview, NB where she was a former choir member and secretary for the A.C.W. Ruby was also the former secretary of the Shediac deanery A.C.W and the Diocese of Fredericton A.C.W. She was a veteran of the 2nd World War, having served in England and Scotland with the ATS British Army.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Robert Dorey (Carolyn), Diane Cleveland (David) and Andrew Dorey (Cheryl); grandchildren, Curtis, Graham, Edward and Christina; and great-grandchildren, Seth and Samantha.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Dorey in May of 2012, as well as her daughter in law, Sharon.

In keeping with Ruby`s wishes there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. A private family burial will take place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

In memory of Ruby, donations to St. John The Baptist Anglican Church Building Fund would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook Page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
