Obituary for Leo Beck

1933-2019
Leo Edward Beck, 85, of Forest Dale Home, formerly of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2019 at the home with his loving family by his side. Leo was born in Beaverbrook, Albert County on September 29th, 1933 the son of the late Hugh and Annie (Leaman) Beck.

Leo was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and his faith was very important to him. He worked in the woods as a private contractor, starting out with his horse Bud until getting his skidder. He also worked for the Department of Natural Resources running lines. His main passion was his hobby farm, he loved every minute of it. He had cows and chickens and always planted a beautiful garden; his farm was his little piece of heaven on earth. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and everyone knew if they needed anything he was there. Leo was a very kind and gentle man who had a heart of gold and loved to laugh. He will be remembered for his smile and his great sense of humour, and his jolly disposition. He was an inspiration and role model for his family and friends. May his legacy of love and kindness live on in the hearts of all who knew him. "Rest In Peace with God and Nature."

He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Kathy Beck of Moncton and Charlene Beck of Riverview; daughter-in-law, Jackie Beck of Hillsborough; sons, Paul (Bonnie) of Riverside-Albert, Brian (Sherry) of Riverside-Albert and Charles (Debbie) of Riverside-Albert; his nine cherished grandchildren; his eight precious great-grandchildren; his sister, Rena Beaumont of Riverview. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and by many friends and by his family from Fundy Royal Manor and Forest Dale Home.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ruby (Douthwright) Beck and son, Michael.

He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9pm with Parish Prayers and a time of sharing beginning at 8:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Riverside-Albert, on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at 11:00am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.

For those who wish donations to the Diabetes Association, Bennett & Albert County Health Care Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.

The family would like to take this opportunity to say thank-you to the staff of Fundy Royal Manor and Forest Dale Home for the outstanding care and kindness shown to Leo. The support and kindness shown will never be forgotten.

Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 14, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H 3K2 734-2780
