Obituary for Carol Grant

May 5, 1944 – September 1, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Louise Grant of Fredericton, NB on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Fredericton Hospice House.

Carol loved her family and friends. She was a woman of strong faith and very active in her church. Carol was a hard worker and dedicated 22 years to the Department of Natural Resources, and continued to work as a driving instructor up until last fall. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Fred Curtis and both her parents, William and Ruth (Buxton) Grant. She was the eldest, with eight siblings from Nortondale, NB.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Ron) Haab of Fort McMurray, AB, Cheryl (Billy) Morehouse and her son, Carl (Aneas) Brown; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt, Brandon and Tucker) Morehouse, Jeffrey (Dayna, Harlow and Avery) Morehouse, Amanda Reid, Darian (Cameron) Brown and Kiana and Leira Brown all of Fredericton, NB. Carol had many special friends, Jocelyn (Tom) Kerr of New Zealand, Marion (Dave) Coulson, Merike (Ron) Brinsmead, Crystal (Rob) Doucette and Barb (Don) Carroll.

A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 1 pm with Pastor Evangeline Inman officiating with a reception to follow in the Fireside Room. A Private Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in her name to Hospice House or the Cornerstone Worship Centre. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
