Obituary for John Leduc

The passing of J.E.J.G. "John" Leduc, husband of Carlene of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 1, 2019. Born on September 21, 1938 in Valleyfield, Québec, he was the son of Simonne (D’aoust) and Lucien Leduc.

In addition to his wife, Carlene, he is survived by his son Dr. Dean Leduc (Mercedes Rebolledo) of Ottawa; two daughters, Jennifer (Mike Allen) and Stefani, both of Douglas, NB; grandchildren Dean Jr., Cristina, Richard, Rebecca and Kyle.

After spending 23 years in the RCMP (mostly in Montréal) and 12 years with Prudential Assurance, John and Carlene had a retirement home built in Douglas where John enjoyed the rural life of a small hamlet, working in his garden, cycling, being with family and making new friends.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care and compassion given to John while he was at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, the Saint John Regional Hospital and also to the Extra-Mural professionals for their concern and kindness during their home visits.

As per John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has been entrusted to the professional care of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
