Obituary for Marie Beaulieu

1931 - 2019
Marie Beaulieu, 88, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on April 19, 1931 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Ulysse and Emelda (Dupuis) Cormier.

Marie was an amazing woman who supported and touched many lives throughout her 88 years. Her quick wit and great sense of humour could brighten anyone’s day. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix parish in Moncton. She loved to garden, read Danielle Steele and knit blankets for her friends and family. She was a great cook and her date balls and fricot will be surely missed. She will be remembered with fondness for many years to come.

She will be sadly missed by one daughter, Irene Richard (Terry) of Moncton; two sons: Léo Cormier (Lilianne) of Moncton, and David Cormier (Darlene) of Wilmington, NC; six grandchildren: Lynn, Ryan, Randy, Rachel, Melanie and Nicholas; four step-daughters: Louise Beaulieu (late Gerald Comeau) of Moncton, Line LeBlanc (Yvon) of Dieppe, Diane Robichaud (Yvon) of Memramcook, and Suzanne Daigle (Claude) of Fort McMurray; one step-son, Gilles of Fredericton; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Jeannine and Irene, both of Massachusetts, and Arlene of Wisconsin; one brother, Ronald of Massachusetts; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Gerard Cormier (1984); her second husband, Robert “Bob” Beaulieu (2012).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, September 9 at 11 followed by a reception. Visiting hours are Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 10 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in St-Antoine l’Ermite parish cemetery. Words of comfort and donations may be done at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.
