Obituary for George Laviolette

1928–2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Laviolette, husband of Jean (Durette) Laviolette, at the Jeffrey Hale Hospital on September 1st 2019, at the age of 90 years. He was born in Campbellton and lived a full and happy life with his loving family in Quebec City from 1962. He was a retiree of Canadian General Electric and a faithful member of Saint Patrick’s Parish.

Visitation will take place at: Complexe funéraire Lépine Cloutier1500, boul. Wilfrid–Hamel, Quebec QC G1N 3Y6 Friday, September 13th 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. The religious service will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14th 2019 at 11:30 a.m., at Saint Patrick’s Church, 1145, de Salaberry, Quebec, then to the Saint Patrick’s Cemetery at 1601, chemin Saint–Louis, Québec.

Besides his wife he will be sadly missed by his children: Carol (Bill Woodrow), Robert (Caryl Laviolette), William, Judy (Michel Gosselin), Lynn, Sharon, Joan, Patricia, James (Docteur Suzanne Roberge) and Mary (Shaun Gaudry); his 23 grandchildren and 16 great–grandchildren, his brother Michael Laviolette, as well as his brothers and sisters–in–law of the Durette family, his nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Catharine (born Kasey) and Alfred as well as his brothers Gerald, John, James, his sister Janet, his daughter Gail and his sons–in–law Donald Allan and Bruce MacIntosh.

We, his family will be eternally grateful to the personnel at the Comfort Care Unit of the Jeffrey Hale Hospital for their exceptionally kind and loving care.
