Obituary for Eugene Gallant

1945 – 2019
Eugene Gallant, 73, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, September 5th, 2019, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Emile and the late Marguerite (née: Surette) Gallant.

Prior to retirement, Eugene had worked for Pepsi–Cola for 38 years. He was very proud of his motorbikes and his Ford Mustang. He was a member of Christ–Roi parish.

He is survived by his special and beloved wife, Dianne (née: Maillet); one daughter, Belinda (Raymond) Guimond of Grand–Barachois; one son, Christopher (Diane) Gallant of Moncton; one step–son, Marcel (Nathalie) Petitpas of Moncton; four grandchildren: Brandon, Leticia, Jessy and Logan; his special step–granddaughter, Cynthia; three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Irene (Laurie) Dutcher of Dieppe, Gloria (late Andre) Allain of Moncton and Violet Allbright of Toronto, ON; one brother, Paul (Carol) of USA; his mother–in–law, Lorraine and the extended Maillet family, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one son, Guy in 1988; three sisters: Dorine, Florence and Edna and also by six brothers: Roy, Bill, Norman, Edward, Oscar and Albenie “Ben”.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857–1901) on Monday from 7 to 9 pm only. A Celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857–1901), on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 at 11 am.

Donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation “Palliative Care” or to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.www.chartersville.com
