Obituary for Jackolyn Alta Macdonald

Nov. 18, 1936 – Aug. 25, 2019
Jackolyn Alta Macdonald, age 82, passed away peacefully at Heritage House in Mississauga, Ontario.

Formerly of Moncton, NB, she grew up in the Cameron Street neighbourhood graduating from Moncton High School before earning degrees from Acadia University and Dalhousie University. She began her teaching career in Halifax and subsequently taught at Toronto area high schools for most of her career.

Predeceased by her parents, Jackolyn was the only child of Alta Florence Macdonald (Beers) and John (Jack) Malcolm Macdonald. She is survived by her cousins, Joan Vranic (Moncton), Ernest Wedge (Saint John), Wayne Beers (Fredericton) and Diane Caron (Fredericton).

Jackolyn was noted for her passion for cats and all animals.

A private interment and memorial service will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, NB on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 am.
