Obituary for Shirley Ferris

Shirley Marguerite (McAllister) Ferris of Mill Cove, New Brunswick, passed away on September 4,2019, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, at the age of 69. Born in Sussex, New Brunswick, on October 9, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Walter andMargaret (Gregg) McAllister.

Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Reginald Ferris; two sons: Jeffrey Ferris of Miramichi, NB, and Graham Ferris (Sabrina) of Minto, NB; one son–in–law: Andrew Drost of Lincoln, NB.

Shirley was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Ferris–Drost in November 2018.

Shirley is also survived by her six grandchildren: Jordan Drost, Derian Ferris, Alec Ferris, Zachary Ferris, Joel Drost, and Olivia Ferris; her nine siblings: Ernest (Nancy) McAllister of Snider Mountain, NB; Peter (Deborah) McAllister of Bedford, NS; Murray (Carolyn) McAllister of Snider Mountain, NB; Barbara McAllister of Rothesay, NB; Beverly McAllister of Halifax, NS; Wayne(Carol) McAllister of Sussex, NB; Earl (Micheline) McAllister of Hubbards, NS; Susanne McAllister of Snider Mountain, NB; and Rachel (Walter) Starr of And over, Minnesota; her two brothers–in–law: Melvin (Sharon) Ferris of Mill Cove, NB; Sterling (Gloria) Ferris of Mill Cove, NB; and by her two sisters–in–law: Doreen (Everett) Adamson of Mill Cove, NB; and Cheryl Ferris (Paul Martin) of Fredericton, NB; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will take place at the Mill Cove Church of God, Mill Cove, NB, on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Mill Cove Church of God with Rev. Terry Messer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Donations to this cemetery would be appreciated (contact Rev. Steven Ferris at 506–488–6004).
