Obituary for Cecil Barnes

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cecil David Barnes announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Friday, September 6, 2019. Cecil was born in Fredericton, NB on October 30, 1930 son of the late Alfred and Annie Barnes.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; son, David Barnes; daughters, Dianne (Pat) Keenan, Barbara (Tim) Wylie and Beverley (Paul) Clarke; sister, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and good friends.

Cecil was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Annie, Ernest, Charlie, Kenneth, Helen and Infant brother, Stanley.

Cecil Barnes was a Veteran of the Korean War and a Peace Keeper in Egypt, Germany and Cypress with the RCD's. During his decorative career in the Army he received several medals and retired with 24 years of service.

A service celebrating the life of Cecil will be held at the Cambridge Narrows Baptist Church on Thursday, September 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Memorial donations in memory of Cecil made to the Church or the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.
