Obituary for Marjorie McLeod

Marjorie McLeod died September 9, 2019, at the age of 93.

Midge was the wife of the late Arnold H. McLeod and the mother of Susan Burke (David), Bob McLeod (Gail), Kathy Duncan (Peter) and Elizabeth MacDonald (Doern).

She was a member of First Baptist Church, it’s choir and Missionary Group.

Midge loved music, sang solos, and for many years was in her church choir and several groups in Florida. She also directed a variety of choral groups over the years. She was a sun worshiper and swimmer who loved the beach both here and Florida where she and Arnold spent many winters.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by son Stephen, parents Jack and Cora Mitton, brother Frank Mitton and sister Dorothy Hickey.

She is survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family thanks the care givers at Sernacare who looked after her for the last four years with love and compassion.

A funeral service for Midge will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Dr. J. Richard Jackson leading the service. A visitation reception will be held following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

Donations can be made to First Baptist Church. Online condolences for the family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
