Obituary for Stanley Reid

The death of Stanley "Ward" Reid of Knoxford occurred on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the River View Manor, Bath. Born July 31, 1936 in Knoxford he was the son of the late Stanley and Hazel (Smith) Reid.

He was also predeceased by one infant sister, Frances and one sister-in-law, Margaret Reid.

Ward is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, April; three children, Andrew Reid (Alison), Michelle DeMerchant (Joel) and Nathan Reid (Melanie); eight grandchildren. Ben, Raya, Darion, Ryan, Eric, Violet, Max and Eva; three siblings, Beverly Reid, Jeanne Culberson (Harold) and Joan Leger (Paul) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation was held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville–Bristol on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 10 am from the Knoxford Praying Band Church. Rev. Andy DeRier will officiate. The interment will be in the Upper Knoxford Cemetery.
