Obituary for John Charles O’Connor

The death of John O’Connor of Saint John, husband of Jean (Bremner) O’Connor, occurred on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Born on July 21, 1948 in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of the late John “Charlie” and Catherine (Coolie) O’Connor.

Prior to retiring, John was employed with Irving Paper for over 30 years and was a member of Local 907.

Besides his wife, Jean, John is survived by his children, Crystal Stevens (Mike) of Willow Grove and Shawn O’Connor (Kim) of French Village; grandchildren, Dylan Stevens, Taylor and Karter O’Connor; brother, James “Jimmy” O’Connor of Saint John; as well as nieces and nephews.

Although there will be no visitation or funeral service, relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service which will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens, 715 Latimore Lake Road, Saint John on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM (for those attending please meet at the cemetery office for 11:00 AM).

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634–7424). In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. www.BrenansFH.com
