Obituary for Edna Leahy

1917 - 2019
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Chartwell Elmira LTC, Ontario, at the age of 102 years.

Edna was the beloved wife of the late Francis Leahy (1971). Dear mother of Marlene Skinner of Linwood, Ontario. Survived by her grandchildren Jody and Jacqulyn Dolson and five great-grandchildren.

Edna was born in Weymouth, Nova Scotia, where she was a Registered Nurse at Saint John General Hospital.

The family would like to thank the staff at Listowel Memorial Hospital, where she spent 18 months, and the staff at Chartwell LTC, where she resided for the last three years, for the excellent care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from the Holy Redeemer Church, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424).

For those who wish remembrances may be made to Romero House. Online condolences may be placed at www.brenansfh.com.
