Obituary for Blanche Marie Lee

Blanche passed away peacefully at Mount St. Mary Hospital, Victoria, BC., on August 4, 2019 with family at her side. Blanche Marie (Murphy) Lee was born in Black’s Harbour on November 14, 1928, the eldest child of the late George and Harriet (O’Neill) Murphy.

In addition to her parents, Blanche is predeceased by her husband, John and son Patrick, three sisters, Anne Ryan, Jane Carr, Mary Murphy and one brother, Richard.

Blanche has left behind five children: Joanne Cape (David), Rosemary Lee (Paul Rayman), Monica Bulmer (Jim), all of Victoria, BC, two sons; Mark (Patricia) of Miramichi, NB and Andrew of Saint John, NB and daughter–in–law, Diane. Four grandchildren; Holly Rispin (Cole), Graham Lee (Arianna), Erin and Heather Cape. She is also survived by one brother, Brian (Denise) of St. Stephen, NB; four sisters: Myrna McCormack of St. Stephen, NB, Shirley Spracklin of Sarnia, ON, Eileen Groot and Beth Haigh, both of Penticton, BC; brother–in–law, Hon. Pat A.A. Ryan, QC., of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated from St. Stephen’s Church, 407 Milltown Boulevard, St. Stephen, NB, on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Suresh Savariraj presiding. Burial will take place in the Milltown cemetery. Reception will follow in the parish centre.
