Obituary for Frances Roberta Reid

Sept. 30, 1942-Sept. 10, 2019

Frances Roberta Reid (Flanagan) of Fletchers Lake passed away on September 10, 2019 at the age of 77. Born in Chatham Miramichi, NB she was the daughter of the late Francis (Frank) Flanagan and the late Jane (Jen Phee) Flanagan of Chatham NB. She was a practicing Nurse for 45 years and on the Nursing Staff of Dartmouth General Hospital for 25 years.

Frances is survived by her husband of 52 years Donald Reid of Fletchers Lake NS, daughter Pamela Harnish and her children Matthew and Ashley of Grandlake, NS, one son Scott Reid (Melissa Drover) their children Morgan and Jordan of Enfield, NS. She is also survived by her sisters Maura (Roland Comeau) Chatham, NB, Phyllis (Richard Kerr) Chatham, NB, Margaret (Said Kouider) Mississauga, Ont, brothers Brian(Yvonne Flanagan) St Margaret's Bay, NS, Daniel (Donna Sturgeon) Whitney , NB, sister in law Melanie (Casey) Flanagan Barnaby River, NB, brother in law Donald Stewart Wayerton , NB and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by June (Fredericks) Reid and sisrers in law Julie and Connie Reid of Sackville, NS.

She is predeceased by her sisters Eileen Flanagan, Patricia Stewart, brother Francis Flanagan (Frank Jr), father in law George B. Reid and special son in law Dean J. Harnish.

The family would also like to thank Dr Jason Reynolds and staff of Bedford, NS for their years of exceptional care. Also special thank you to the Pallaitve Care team ( Barbara Stewart) as well as the VON for their care.

At her request there will be no visitation. Remains will be donated to Medical Science, Dalhouse University Halifax , NS. A private family bural in Chatham, NB will be held at a later date.
