Obituary for Antoinette Doucet

1928 – 2019
Antoinette Doucet, 91, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Serenacare residence. Born on June 12, 1928 in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Patrice and Georgina (Doucet) Chiasson. Before starting her family, Antoinette was a radiology technician at the Hôtel–Dieu Hospital in Campbellton.

She is survived by five children: Suzanne (John Creamer), Angèle (Ron Léger), Lise (Mario Boudreau), Bernard (Rebekah Chassé), and Michelle (Greg Travis); seven grandchildren: Francine, Alec, Katrine, Zacharie, Jacob, Camille, and Will; one brother, Léonard (Léo) (Lina Chiasson); as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice (1979); one daughter, Peggy (1983); one grandson, Eric; four sisters: Sophie, Vitaline and Patricia, all three Filles de Marie–de–l’Assomption , as well as one infant sister, Marguerite–Marie; nine brothers: Camille (Évangéline Landry), Alexandre (Simonne Milhomme), Placide (Marie–Anne Comeau), Médéric (Antoinette Doucet), Gérard (Simonne Gallant), as well as infants Wilfred, Médéric, Jean–Paul, and Edmond.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the staff of Serenacare residence for their excellent care towards Antoinette as well as to Robert Primeau, family friend, for his support and compassion to Antoinette as well as to the family.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton from where the funeral will be celebrated on Monday, September 16 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
